Prime Time is always looking for new ways to change our curriculum that is implemented in the classrooms, while continuing to maintain the basic teaching and learning methods that we believe nurture children’s learning. Our methods are exemplified in the activities we do with the children.
Our activities are in the fields of play-based learning:
- Large and Small motor skills
- Reading, Writing, and Mathematics Skills
- Sense related activities (smell, sight, feel)
- Small Group and Whole Group play
- Social and Emotional Learning
At Prime Time we work together to foster a positive environment where children get to learn by doing fun activities. The children are guided by staff to learn through imaginative play, exploration, and the use of expressive language. This is done by providing the children with the tools and resources to grow and learn at their own pace and having fun while doing so. Our daycare is filled with toys, games, musical instruments, books, manipulatives, and so much more.
Children in the Toddler and Pre-School Classrooms receive a daily sheet of an over-view of their day such as the activities they participated in, what meals were served, how much they ate, their bathroom usage, and any items they may need to be brought to daycare for the child.
The Infant room implements the use of the system Tadpoles to communicate the Childs day to the parents.
Prime Time works to have a few field trips both on and off site during the year. Off-Site field trips are only for children ages 4 and up. With the exception of some field trips having children ages 3.
